Obituary for Brenda Jean Dukes Dawson

Brenda Jean Dukes Dawson was born on Sunday, November 27, 1955 in Rochester, NY to both the late Eddie, Sr. & Ruby Dukes. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the University Hospital in Augusta, GA. Her husband, William Henry Dawson preceded her in death.

Brenda was resident of Warrenton, GA and she received her education by attending the public school system of Warren County, GA as a young girl. She joined the Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Warrenton, GA at an early age. Brenda later joined the Millrock Missionary Baptist Church of Warrenton, GA where she attended faithfully until her health started to fail.

Not only was our dearest Brenda Jean Dukes Dawson a loving and kindhearted person, she was a giving person that was truly loved by all who knew her. She will be missed beyond measures, and always considered one of our family’s most wonderful treasures.

Left to cherish her beautiful memories are: a daughter, Pamela (Raymond) Hunt of Thomson, GA; six grandchildren, Sherinika Few of Warrenton, Ieisha Few, Shanquaneshia Few, De’Marion Dukes, Randy Neal, all of Thomson, GA and Ty-tianna Johnson of Augusta, GA; three great-grandchildren, Amiya Few of Warrenton, GA, Ja’Koby West of Thomson, GA and Harmonii Williams of Augusta, GA; a sister, Joann Duke-Smith of Warrenton, GA; two brothers, Eddie (Edith) Dukes of Warrenton, GA and Willie Edward Jackson of Rochester, NY; three aunts, Urdee Bell, Virginia Berry, both of Warrenton, GA and Liza Jackson of Rochester, NY; two uncles, Harvey Jackson and Welcher (Essie) Jackson, all of Warrenton, GA; three sisters-in-law, Willia Jefferson of Montgomery, AL, Eddye (Cleveland) Sinkfield of Decatur, GA and Annie Goodwin of Broken Arrow, OK; a special niece, Tonja Dukes of Warrenton, GA; a god-daughter, Shana (Tim) Cates of Augusta, GA; a close friend, Ora Seals of Atlanta, GA; a special friend, Edwin Scott of Warrenton, GA; a host of additional nieces, nephews, other relatives and additional friends.
