Obituary for Fresricus "Fred" Mathis

Mr. Fresricus Mathis aka “ Fred” age 33 of Wrens, Georgia, passed on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Jackson Hospital , Montgomery, Alabama. . Family and friends may call at the residence of his grandmother, Mrs. Dollie Mae Rowland, 602 E. Walker Street, Wrens. Freeman Funeral Home 402 Curtis Street, Wrens in charge of arrangements.

Life Summation

Fresricus Damon Mathis affectionately known as “Fred” was born June 7, 1986 at Jefferson County Hospital, to the loving parentage of Pamela Mathis and Geoffery Rowland. He transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 1, 2019.

Fred was baptized at a young age becoming a member of the Ways Grove Baptist Church. He was educated in the Jefferson County School System and attended Sandersville Technical College as well as South Georgia Technical College. He was a former employee of J.M. Huber and presently a Co-owner of The Velasco Logistic LLC.

Long after today he will be remembered as a special son, wonderful grandson, an admirable uncle and a loyal friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Wesley Rowland, Lever Mathis, and Kay Frances Mathis.

Cherishing his memories are: his loving mother, Pamela Mathis; his caring father, Geoffrey (Rebecca) Rowland; a devoted grandmother, Dollie Mae Rowland; one brother, Kadarrius King; three sisters, Jashira (Danny) Tucker, Jacquashia Hammonds, and Christ’yan Jones; three step-brothers, Franklin Hilton, Jessie Brown Jr, and Raquarius Wynn; two uncles, James (Shawana) Mathis and John Wesley Rowland; two aunts, Gloria (Ricky) Johnson and Felicia McCloud; two great aunts, Reba Goodson, Mary Ann Avery; three great uncles, Richard, Sr. (Fannie) Berry, Thomas, Sr. (Frances) Berry and John Goodson; a great-great aunt, Leila Seabrooks; those who shared a very special sibling-like bond, Wyshieka Brown, Deontae Oliphant, Tommie Tremble, Jr., and Tiara Tremble; a special friend; Fernando (Tieashia) Velasco; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
