Obituary for Loretta "Lo-Lo" "Boonie" Crew Harden

On Friday, September 13, 2019, after a hard fight, God in His infinite wisdom knew it was time for our dearest Loretta Crew Harden to come home and rest. Loretta made her earthly transition from labor to reward at the Thomson Health and Rehabilitation in Thomson, GA.

Loretta Crew Harden was born to the union of Elizabeth Stokes Crew and Albert Crew, Sr. on Saturday, November 30, 1940 in Wilkes County, GA. She attended school in Washington (Wilkes County), GA. Early on Loretta began her passion for cooking while employed with Delta Airport, Lowes Place Hotel, Park Place, Warren County School System and later with the White Columns Inn. Cooking was her ‘thing’, and she excelled at it.

Our beloved Loretta often called “Boonie” or “Lo-Lo” was a beautiful person inside out. Her infectious-pleasing smile and joyous laughter made everything seemed lovely. She will be missed more than any words could ever say, and loved always and forever!

Those who preceded her in death are: her mother, Elizabeth Stokes Crew; her father, Albert Crew, Sr.; a sister, Julia Mae Pettis; a brother, Albert Crew, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Booker T. Pettis; two aunts, Lily Stokes and Willie Mae Stokes; three uncles, Luther Stokes, Sr., K.D. Stokes and Freeman M. Stokes; a great-grandmother, Julia Harmon Stokes; Arnold Stokes; a close cousin, Margaret Tucker.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her only daughter, Angelia Lowe-Harvey; a devoted son-in-law, Travis Harvey; five grandchildren, Aniia J. “Trecie” Lowe; Rev. Juanterrence K. Lowe, Jonedre A. Lowe, Treasure L. Harvey and Timothy Martin; five great-grandchildren, Juantavious Lowe, Roderick J. Mitchell, Juandaja Lowe, Jalen Horten and Alecia Martin; one god-child, Donetto Lowe (Rick) Killeen; two devoted cousins like sisters, Annie Ruth Martin and Juanita Thomas; Margene Stokes Taylor;five nephews, Lawrence Stokes, Eddie C. Harris, Mitchell Pettis, Isaac Pettis and Austin Pettis; a host of other family members and friends.
